Æò±Õ¼ö¸íÀÇ ¿¬ÀåÀ¸·Î ÀÎÇÑ °í·ÉÀα¸ÀÇ Áõ°¡ Ãß¼¼¿¡ ¸ÂÃß¾î 65¼¼ ÀÌ»ó °í·ÉȯÀÚÀÇ ±¸°­³»°ú Áø·á½ÇŸ¦ Á¶»çÇϱâ À§ÇØ 2007³â 1¿ù 1ÀϺÎÅÍ 2008³â 7¿ù 18ÀϱîÁö Á¶¼±´ëÇб³ Ä¡°úº´¿ø ±¸°­³»°ú¿¡ ³»¿øÇÑ ¸¸ 65¼¼ ÀÌ»óÀÎ 600¸íÀÇ È¯ÀÚÀÇ ¼ºº°, ¿¬·É, ÁÖ¼Ò, Àü½ÅÁúȯ, Áø´Ü¸í, Ä¡·á, Ÿ °ú¿¡¼­ÀÇ ÀÇ·Ú¿©ºÎ ¹× ÀÇ·ÚÇÑ °úÀÇ Á¾·ù¸¦ Á¶»çÇÏ¿´´Ù.
¿¬·ÉÁ¶»ç¿¡¼­ 65¼¼¢¦74¼¼ 63.7%, 75¢¦84¼¼ 32.2%, 85¼¼ ÀÌ»ó 4.2%ÀÇ ºñÀ²·Î ³ªÅ¸³µÀ¸¸ç, ¿©¼ºÀÌ ³²¼ºº¸´Ù ´õ ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. ȯÀÚÀÇ Áּҷδ ±¸°­¿¬Á¶Á÷¹®Á¦(44.1%)¿Í ±¸°­¾Ç¾È¸éÅëÁõ(39.0%)ÀÌ ÁÖ·Î ¸¹¾ÒÀ¸¸ç, Àü½ÅÁúȯÀ¸·Î´Â ¼øȯ±â°è Áúȯ(30.1%), ±Ù°ñ°Ý°è Áúȯ(16.8%), ³»ºÐºñ°è Áúȯ(12.8%), ¼ÒÈ­±â°è Áúȯ(10.1%)ÀÌ ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. Áø´Ü¸íÀº ±¸°­ ³» ¿¬Á¶Á÷Áúȯ(32.0%)°ú ÃøµÎÇϾǰüÀýÀå¾ÖÀÇ °üÀýÀå¾Ö(24.1%)¿Í ±ÙÀ°Àå¾Ö(18.1%)°¡ ¸¹¾ÒÀ¸¸ç, ³»¿øÇÑ È¯ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ½ÃÇàµÈ Ä¡·á´Â ¾à¹°Ä¡·á(43.9%)¿Í ±ÙÀÌ¿Ï¿ä¹ýÀ» Æ÷ÇÔÇÑ ¹°¸®Ä¡·á(24.2%)°¡ ÁÖ·Î ½ÃÇàµÆ´Ù. Àüü ³»¿øȯÀÚÀÇ 14.2%°¡ Ÿ ÀÇ·á±â°ü¿¡¼­ ÀÛ¼ºÇÑ ÀÇ·Ú¼­¸¦ ÁöÂüÇÏ¿© ³»¿øÇÏ¿´°Å³ª, °°Àº Ä¡°úº´¿ø ³» Ÿ °ú¿¡¼­ ÀÇ·ÚµÇ¾î ±¸°­³»°ú¿¡ ³»¿øÇÏ¿´´Ù.
ÀÌ»óÀÇ ¿¬±¸¸¦ ÅëÇØ 65¼¼ ÀÌ»ó °í·ÉȯÀÚÀÇ ±¸°­³»°ú Áø·á½ÇÅ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ÆľÇÀÌ °¡´ÉÇßÀ¸¸ç, ÇâÈÄ ÀÌ·ç¾îÁú °í·ÉȯÀÚ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¿¬±¸¿¡ À־ º» ¿¬±¸ °á°ú°¡ µµ¿òÀÌ µÇ±â¸¦ ±â´ëÇÑ´Ù.

We reviewed retrospectively the medical records of 600 elderly patients, over 65 years old who visited oral medicine.
The ratio of the age group was composed of 65¢¦74 years old group was 63.7%, 75¢¦84 years old group was 32.2%, over 85years old group was 4.2%, and the patients were mostly females. The main chief complaint was composed of oral soft tissue problem(44.1%) and oromaxillofacial pain(39.0%). The majority of systemic diseases was composed of diseases of the circulatory system(30.1%), diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue(16.8%), endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, and diseases of the digestive system(10.1%). The numerous pateints were diagnosed as soft tissue disease(32.0%), arthrogenous disease(24.1%), and myogenous disease(18.1%) of temporomandibular disease. Principally medication(43.9%), physical therapy(24.2%) were performed. 14.2% of all patients visited oral medicine with a letter of request written by other medical departments or local dental clinics, or referred from other departments in Chosun university dental hospital.
These findings indicate epidemiologic characteristics on the elderly patients visited oral medicine. We hope that this study will play a basis in the future research about the elderly patients.
